Beavis and Butthead slot review

beavis and butt head

Go for some mad and moronic mayhem and relive the 90s with some kick ass wins on Beavis and Butthead slot game.

Slot Game intro

Beavis and Butthead is a branded slot game inspired by the hugely popular cartoon of the same name that aired on MTV in the 1990s. The cartoon revolved around two socially inept teens called Beavis and Butt-head, who have a tendency to engage in moronic and destructive activity. They prefer to watch television all day, and all things related to heavy metal, sex and violence are deemed cool. The cartoon is considered a classic expression of 1990s youth culture and after a full-length film and several video games, Beavis and Butt-head has been developed into a slot game. Many aspects from the cartoon, including Beavis and Butt-head’s childish obsession with fire, have been reflected in the slot game. You can dive into some true 90s pop culture nostalgia while having great chances to make mad winnings.

The Base Game Couch Your Cash Bundle Features are the following:

In this feature Beavis and Butt-head smack the telly with flyswatters adding at least 2 and up to 5 extra Wild symbols to the reels.

Cornholio Wild

Named after Beavis alter ego Cornholio, this feature turns 1 or 2 entire reels wild.

Butt Flambé

Scatter symbols

Bonus Stuff Kicks Ass Features

The Bonus Game features have been labelled Bonus Stuff Kicks Ass. These features can either be activated by playing at least 3 Scatter symbols on the reels or through the additional Base Game modifiers Sofa Slugfest or Change the Channel. At the start of the Bonus Stuff Kicks Ass feature, you are presented with 6 strips of film of which you can select one. Any of the strips either reveal a Mystery Win cash prize or a bonus feature. The Feature Gamble gives you option to either play a Bonus feature straight away or to give you the choice between a cash prize and a Bonus feature once more. You can be awarded any of the following Bonus features:

Don’t Be a Buzz Kill

This feature is set in coach Bradley Buzzcut’s office. By clicking on either Beavis or Butt-head, you either win a cash prize or nothing but a Buzz Kill. The latter makes Bradley Buzzcut furious and whenever he has reached full-anger levels, the feature ends.

Customers Suck!

In this bonus feature, set in Burger World, where the boys have jobs as cashiers, you get to click food boxes which can award you multipliers. If you manage to collect 3 Gold Super Burgers you trigger a Free Spins bonus round. The feature ends, however, when you collect 3 worm burgers.

To B or Not To B Free Spins

This Free Spins feature is set in the front garden and turns either Beavis or a Butt-head symbols into Wilds for increased win chances. You can also collect tokens for which you can get Super Spins or be awarded the Just Desert Bonus.

Maxi Mart Free Spins

Set in the grocery store, this feature adds random Wild symbols to the reels for increased win chances. Like the To B or Not To B Free spins feature, this feature too allows you to collect tokens that can be exchanged for Super Spins or the Just Desert Bonus.

The Great Cornholio Free Spins

Transporting you to the boys’ toilet in school, in this feature each free spins will award you at least two Wild Reels. In this Free Spins round as well you can collect tokens to reactivate the feature or trigger the Just Desert Bonus feature.

Just Desert Bonus

In this feature you click on icons to help Beavis and Butt-head on their way along a desert trail. If they find themselves in an Oasis, you win a mystery prize. If you manage to follow the trail until the end, you will land on Super Big Money, which allows you to choose a random multiplier. This multiplier will then be applied to the grand total of your winnings in this feature. You need 5 Scatters in one round to activate this feature or you can trigger it through the Feature Gamble or any of the Free Spins bonus features.

Verdict

Beavis and Butthead slot game will be a great joy to play for those who grew up with the series and they will sure enjoy some nostalgia in addition to some moronic fun and decent win potential. However, the game developer could have done better. In terms of format, the game seems too similar to other branded slot games by Blueprint Gaming. The representation of Beavis and Butt-head is slightly superficial. The slot doesn’t include highlights from the show or specific references to certain episodes. Neither do any other central characters like Daria or Stewart make an appearance on the slot. The sense of nostalgia might just be enough, though and if you like medium to high volatility slots, you will most likely have a field day with Beavis and Butthead slot game.
